Piri Piri
Like all chili peppers, piri piri is descended from South American cultivars, but piri piri has grown in the wild in Africa for centuries. It is also called African bird's eye chili. It is cultivated for both commercial food processing and the pharmaceutical industry. Piri Piri are hot red peppers used to spice up savoury dishes. Can be served as a sauce to marinate fish, meat and poultry or as a condiment over burgers and veggie burgers. Delicious in salad, cheese and meat sandwiches and rolls.
