Capers
Normally are pickled in salt or salt and vinegar solution and then drained when to use. Often used as a seasoning or ganish. Capers are a common ingredient in Mediterranean Cuisine. They are commonly used in salads, pasta salads, meat dishes and pasta sauces such as chicken piccata and spaghetti alla puttanesca. Also known for being one of the ingredients of Tartare Sauce. Can be served also with cold smoked salmon or cured salmon dishes.
